Learn to Lead Trad

Our Trad Lead Climbing Course is for climbers with some experience who want to progress their skills to the next level.

You will be climbing in the beautiful Peak District where you will experience some classic Trad climbing.

You will be shown:

  • How to place climbing gear

  • Building a rack

  • Build anchors

  • Lead belaying

  • Abseiling to retrieve stuck gear

  • Using guidebooks

  • Communication between climbers

  • Movement Coaching

4 Day Course

Learn all of the above and:

  • 8 hour sessions over 4 days

  • £400 per person

  • 2-3 people per booking

Any equipment needed will be provided.

All participants must be competent at top roping French 5 before booking.

Equipment
Pleas let us know if you need any equipment.

Transport
We do not provide any transport and will meet at the activity site. Let us know if all participants will be arriving separately or in one vehicle so we can choose venues with appropriate parking. Multi activity days can either be at the same venue or you can arrange your own transport between venues.

AALA Licence
We hold an AALA Licence meaning we can take under 18s out without their parents being present. More about AALA
